The Hidden Healthy: Easy Everyday French Toast

I think all moms can relate to the morning rush! We all want to make sure our kids get something nutritious and filling to eat to give them that energy boost they’ll need for the day. This is my super speedy, go-to option when my toddler refuses eggs in the morning- and she loves it! This breakfast dish is super simple, quick and contains eggs, milk and natural honey to give them some morning proteins and nutrients, without the addition of sugar.

Prep time: 3 minutes


  • Toast

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup of milk

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • ½ tsp of vanilla

  • Natural honey for dressing

Note: this amount is usually enough batter for approximately 2 to 3 pieces of toast.


Step 1: Mix the egg and milk thoroughly into your bowl. Feel free to add more or less milk based on your liking

Step 2: Add the cinnamon and mix again

Step 3: Add in the toast and let it sit in the batter for at least 30 seconds, to absorb all the flavors and liquids.

Step 4: Place in a greased, medium-heat pan until each side turns golden brown.

Step 5: Serve with natural honey and enjoy! (Try to avoid grocery store sold maple syrup, due to its high sugar content)
