Mimi's Vegan Kitchen: Flax Wraps

I’ve been scanning shelves and shelves in various supermarkets for the past few months for wraps with clean ingredients. The search is over because those flax seed wraps are gold. I was too worried they’d come out smelling fishy but they passed the test and they honestly don’t even taste like anything.

Load them with hummus and veggies or use them to make tacos. They’re so versatile so I bet you can even pack them with sweet things and they would work just as well.

Enjoy and as always, we’d love to know if you give them a try.

1 cup of ground flax seeds

2/3 cups of water

1 tsp of dried oregano

a pinch of salt

Step 1: Bring the water to a boil and then add the salt and oregano.

Step 2: Turn off the heat and add the flax, combine to form a dough. It will be sticky but it will all hold together and form a ball.

Step 3: Once it’s cool to the touch, divide the dough into 4. Roll each part between two pieces of parchment paper. If you want them perfectly round then cut using a pan or bowl.

Step 4: Place on a hot pan for 60-120 seconds, flip and cook for another 30 seconds. Let the wraps cool for a few minutes before you fill them and whatever filling you’re using, make sure it isn’t too hot or the wraps will fall apart.
